In the second half of 2001 we studied dances from Gemer (Gömör in Hungarian), which we choreographed in 2002. The historical county of Gemer is mostly populated by ethnic Hungarians, unified by a local culture and dialect called Palóc. The Gemer region is made up of smaller ethnographic regions such as Medvesalja, Barkó vidék, and Fennsík. Our choreography consisted of music and dances from villages such as Gemerské Dechtice,

Dubno,, Jestice, Studená, Večeklov, Gemerský Jablonec, Hostice, Ajnáčka etc. The members   of the Pitypang Ensemble are divided into two groups-beginners and advanced dancers-and the   choreography accommodates their appropriate levels. The instruction of smaller children   concentrates on games, rhythmic movements and spatial orientation on the stage.
