In the 1999/2000 school year the ensemble learnt dances and games from the Dunántúl (Trans-Danubian) region of Hungary. Instruction was supported by video- and audio-recordings. It was this choreography that brought recognition for the ensemble. Invitations by local organisations to perform at their events have greatly contributed to the ensemble's success.

  In this year the ensemble performed at the Somosköújfalu Regional Festival, which led   to an invitation to the prestigious Hollókö Folklore Festival (both in Hungary).   Participation at the Hollókö Festival was the first major achievement of the ensemble and   a well-deserved reward for a year's hard work.
